Michael Bakari Jordan (born February 9, 1987) is an American actor. His television roles include East Dillon High School quarterback Vince Howard in ''Friday Night Lights'', teenage drug dealer Wallace in ''The Wire'', Reggie Montgomery in ''All My Children'', and Alex in ''Parenthood''. On film, he has played shooting victim Oscar Grant in the critically acclaimed film ''Fruitvale Station'' (2013), the Human Torch in the 2015 film ''Fantastic Four'', and Adonis Creed, son of fictional boxer Apollo Creed, in the ''Rocky'' spin-off-sequel film ''Creed'' (2015). Other film roles include ''Red Tails'' (2012), ''Chronicle'' (2012) and ''That Awkward Moment'' (2014). ==Early life== Jordan was born in Santa Ana, California, the son of Donna (née Davis), a high school guidance counselor and artist, and Michael Jordan, a caterer. Jordan spent two years in California. His parents moved with his family to Newark, New Jersey.〔 He attended Newark Arts High School, where his mother works, and where he played basketball.〔 He had not planned on going into acting and had done some modeling for local companies. He modeled for Modell's sporting goods and Toys "R" Us. Despite the end of ''Friday Night Lights'', he maintained his apartment in Austin where the show was filmed.
